Welcome to Brushy Meadows Summerwalk (BMSW) Swim Team!
BMSW is part of Greenville County's SAIL (Swim Association Invitational League) program. We are a dual team, which means we are made up of 2 different neighborhoods. Each neighborhood holds its own practices, but we team up weekly for a swim meet against another neighborhood SAIL team within our division. Our team has over 100 swimmers between the ages of 4-18. Each team is comprised of a guppy team and the Barracudas. The guppy program is usually our younger swimmers and is a "pre-team" stroke technique and endurance program and is made to bridge the gap between swim lessons and competitive swimming. We do require that guppy swimmers be able to jump in the pool, put face in the water, and swim the length of the pool assisted with pool noodle. The Barracudas are the competitive swimmers and are able to swim unassisted, a full length of the pool or more and are proficient in or are in the process of learning all strokes.
We are part of the Greenville SAIL BLUE Division.

Our Goals!
Statement of Philosophy and Goals
We aspire to develop swimmers from the novice beginner to the most advanced Olympic hopeful. Of primary concern is the teaching of skills that promote improvement in the sport of swimming while concurrently promoting healthy productive lifestyles and presenting all aspects of the program with adherence to USA Safe Sport Policies and Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies.
Specific Goals
1) Through our daily training and goal setting, foster such positive attributes as self-esteem, self-reliance, discipline, confidence, respect, and team pride.
2) Promote leadership and community involvement.
3) Provide an athletic alternative to destructive youth behavior.
4) Prepare our swimmers to excel in life, both academical and athletically.
