Iron Man Info

June 7th

As you’re signing your swimmers up for this week’s meet, please keep our Iron Man award in mind! At the end of the season, we give an Iron Man award to swimmers who have legally completed every individual event offered in SAIL. If your swimmer is interested in earning this award, now is a great time to start working toward it by signing up for events they haven’t swam yet. If you have any questions about which events your swimmer still needs for Iron Man, feel free to reach out!

Here are the events your swimmer would need to swim legally during the season to be eligible for the Iron Man award: 

10 & Under: 

• 25 Freestyle 

• 25 Backstroke 

• 25 Breaststroke 

• 25 Butterfly 

• 50 Freestyle 

• 100 IM 


11 & Up: 

• 50 Freestyle 

• 50 Backstroke 

• 50 Breaststroke 

• 50 Butterfly 

• 100 Freestyle 

• 100 IM

PLEASE NOTE!

Please understand we are a volunteer run organization. In order for swim meets to run, it is required each family must volunteer for at least 1 shift per meet.  If a family member does not sign up to volunteer, your swimmer(s) will not be eligible to swim in that meet.  Should a special circumstance arise where at least 1 member of the family can not volunteer at a meet please contact your SAIL Representative. 

To swim in a meet, swimmers must be declared for each meet by 11:30 the prior Saturday.  You may go ahead and declare for the whole season as soon as you are registered.  The coaches will communicate individual events to the swimmers on Thursday morning.  Relays will be computer generated based on swimmer's times and availability.
